The instant gratification monkey and overcoming procrastination

If you were to make a list of the careers known to harbor procrastinators, writing would probably be toward the top. It’s no secret that writers get caught in the rabbit hole of Google, YouTube, and Pinterest daily.

That being said, all is not lost. This morning I recieved a text message with a hilarious TED talk by Tim Urban. Tim is a…well, I don’t know what he is, but he has a couple blog posts out there, talks on a stage sometimes, and is a perpetual procratsinator and funny guy.

For all of you procratsinators out there – and even those who are better than everyone else – this is worth watching.

Curious why I am posting about Tim Urban and procrastination? A deadline isn’t quite close enough.

I am a full-time freelance writer specializing in books, though I also write blogs, web-content, and handle several other types of projects. To see what I offer visit my rates page or contact me with specific queries and questions. I’m also available to help mentor you through your first book. I’d love to work with you, and if you know anyone else looking for a writer I offer a generous referral fee.

Are you looking for quick reads or something for your middle-schooler to read this summer? Check out the following and click on the links at the bottom of each book to buy a copy!
